Cumberland Farms/EG America updates site plans for Flanders Road; Planning Board continues hearing to August

Representatives for EGA America (Cumberland Farms) asked the Planning Board to continue consideration of their 165 Flanders Road project after describing recent changes limited largely to stormwater design.
Andrew Platt of Boulder Engineering said the plan adds a new detention basin and an underground detention system to address Conservation Commission and peer-review stormwater concerns; the rest of the site layout—two new buildings (50,000 square feet for a warehouse and 17,600 square feet for a maintenance building with five bays including a truck wash bay)—remains largely as previously proposed. Platt said the team expects one remaining peer review response and that peer reviews have been the cause of several months of delay.
Board members agreed there was little value in scheduling a hearing date before the outstanding peer review is complete, and by motion the board continued the hearing for 165 Flanders Road to the August 6, 2024 hearing date so conservation and peer-review issues can be closed out. The applicant said they expect to have the outstanding peer-review materials completed within the coming month.
