The Municipal Building Committee voted unanimously June 27 to name Al Gordon chair and Jim Stewart vice chair.
The motion to elect Gordon as chair and Stewart as vice chair was moved and seconded; the committee conducted a roll-call vote because a member was participating remotely. Ian Johnson, Rod Shaffer, Peter, Jim Stewart and other members recorded aye votes; the motion passed unanimously.
Committee members said continuity in leadership matters as work accelerates on projects tied to the October Town Meeting schedule. Several members praised Gordon’s stewardship and commended Stewart as the committee’s on-site point person and daily representative.
During the same meeting the committee approved two sets of minutes (June 5 and the item recorded as 06/1324) by roll-call vote and confirmed the next meeting for July 11, which will be offered in hybrid format for members who cannot attend in person.
The committee closed the meeting after the adjournment vote; no additional formal actions were taken at this session.
