Jen Kirkland, the town’s recreation director, told the Municipal Building Committee on July 25 that architects engaged for the community center design want public input and have scheduled multiple sessions: July 30 at 2 p.m. (senior center, senior‑focused), July 30 at 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall for the general public, and a virtual Zoom session on Monday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.
"We really wanna hear from the public on what you want. Please come, participate," Kirkland said, urging residents to complete an online survey (paper copies available at the senior center and library) and to attend input sessions. She said staff met with the architects and senior‑center stakeholders the previous day and planned additional stakeholder meetings next week.
The town manager asked committees to name representatives to participate; the Municipal Building Committee discussed sending a member to the July 30 stakeholder meeting at 4 p.m. Peter volunteered but noted a possible scheduling conflict. Committee members agreed to confirm representation and to have the volunteer report back to the committee.
The recreation department said meeting details and survey links are on the town website.
