Advisory Finance Committee backs $25,000 transfer to repair golf-course cart paths

The Westborough Advisory Finance Committee voted unanimously on Sept. 5 to recommend that Town Meeting approve a transfer from the Country Club enterprise retained earnings to repair three cart paths at the municipal golf course. McMahon moved the committee recommendation and Bradley seconded.
Committee members questioned whether the cart paths would be affected by planned building renovations; members replied the paths are within the golf course and would not be disturbed. The chair said the funding source is the Country Club enterprise fund and that no Recreation Department site visit was required before the committee vote.
The committee recorded the recommendation as unanimous. The motion now goes to the Special Town Meeting warrant for a final vote by Town Meeting members.
