The Planning Board approved a de minimis modification Nov. 19 to Silver Hollow Estates' landscaping requirements that removes the obligation to plant 44 trees along Mount Pleasant Street outside the development.
Steve Rosenfield, representing the owner, said the planting strip across from the neighborhood already shows substantial vegetation and that removing the requirement would preserve existing natural vegetation. Planning staff and conservation had reviewed the request; board members agreed the natural vegetation provides the desired buffer and approved the modification as de minimis, subject to the decision being recorded at the Worcester Registry of Deeds before authorized site activity begins.
