The program asks shoppers to collect stamps from participating businesses; customers with 10 stamps enter a drawing. Drop boxes for completed passports are located at Town Hall, Forbes and the library, and prize counts were not finalized at the Dec. 3 meeting. "We had a total of 31 businesses," Speaker 3 said, adding that returned passports will be used for the raffle drawing.
Committee members pressed for better metrics to measure business impact, with Speaker 4 asking whether businesses would track stamp activity and Speaker 2 and others offering low‑cost suggestions (custom stamps, reduced stamp thresholds) to improve data collection and grow participation. The group also reviewed confusion this year about the holiday stroll's organization and agreed earlier and clearer coordination with the Rotary Club and Recreation Department will be necessary for next year.
The committee commended volunteers and agreed to formalize roles and tracking steps so the passport and stroll can scale and demonstrate measurable benefits for participating businesses.
