Morrow County commissioners approve routine minutes, bills and multiple personnel resolutions

The Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved routine administrative business at its regular meeting, including minutes, bills and several personnel and travel resolutions.

The board voted to approve the minutes of the Dec. 8, 2025 regular session and authorized payment of bills numbered 1 through 43, along with a series of listed payments and a reimbursement from Uline. The motions to approve were moved and seconded and carried on roll call.

Commissioners approved a resolution delegating authority to Sunday Brown, director of Morrow County Job and Family Services (MCJFS), to act on behalf of the commissioners in intercounty transfers of allocated funds. The board also authorized travel and overnight lodging for Brown during 2026 and gave the director discretion to approve MCJFS staff attendance at trainings, conferences and meetings through 2026.

The board approved resolutions permitting pre‑retirement vacation leave conversion for Morrow County employees and separately for employees of Morrow County Area Transit (MCAT). A separate agreement to implement the Morrow County recycling and litter prevention office for 2026 was presented and approved, with authorization for the chair to sign.

During announcements staff reported on an asset sale (the highest bidder paid $776 for an industrial kitchen mixer removed from the jail) and provided routine operational updates.

The motions for these items were moved, seconded and passed by roll call with the commissioners' affirmative responses recorded during the meeting.

The meeting then recessed for a scheduled public hearing and later returned to conclude remaining business and adjourn.
