The Lucas City Council approved its consent agenda, which included ratifying the Nov. 6 meeting minutes and authorizing the mayor to enter an interlocal agreement with Collin County for animal-shelter services from Oct. 1, 2025, through Sept. 30, 2026, not to exceed $14,970. The mayor moved to approve the consent agenda and a council member seconded; the mayor called for the vote and members replied “Aye,” with the mayor announcing the motion carried.
Later in the meeting the council convened in an executive session citing the Texas Government Code for personnel matters (section 551.074) to deliberate appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment and duties of the city manager. The council returned to open session at 7:56 p.m. and reported there was no follow-up action as a result of the executive session.
A motion to adjourn was made and seconded; the council voted “Aye” and the meeting adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
