Frisco council approves consent and procedural items, tables zoning case to Sept. 16
Summary
Council approved the consent agenda (items 12–35) and legislative item 36, certified tax collection estimates, and approved publishing notice for the proposed tax rate; it tabled zoning item 37 to Sept. 16. All recorded votes were unanimous (6–0).
At its Sept. 2 meeting, the Frisco City Council approved the consent agenda (items 12–35) in one motion and approved the legislative agenda item 36; both motions were moved by Councilmember John and passed 6–0. The council also approved a resolution to publish notice for a public hearing on the proposed tax rate (item 39) and accepted the tax assessor-collector’s certification of anticipated collection rate and excess collections for 2024 (item 40). Those motions passed by unanimous vote.
Separately, council took action on a zoning public hearing (item 37). Staff recommended continuing the public hearing on a request to repeal and amend a zoning ordinance covering roughly 80.1 acres at Maynard Parkway and University Drive (zoning case Z24-0002). Councilmember John moved to continue and table the item to the Sept. 16 meeting; that motion also passed 6–0.
