Frisco council clears consent agenda, zoning amendments and fee updates in unanimous votes

At its Aug. 19 meeting, Frisco City Council approved a package of routine and noncontroversial items in a single vote and adopted several companion ordinances after brief staff presentations.
The council approved the consent agenda (items 12–27) in one motion (moved by John; seconded by Laura) by a 6‑0 vote. Later in the evening, the council heard a zoning amendment (case ZA25‑4) that the Planning & Zoning Commission had recommended unanimously; after opening and closing the public hearing with no speakers, council adopted the companion ordinance (motion by John; second by Jared) by a 6‑0 vote.
Council also approved an ordinance amending the master fee schedule to raise certain development‑related fees to cover staff costs (motion by John; second by Jarrett); that motion passed 6‑0. Other routine governance monitoring items were completed and the council adjourned at 8:34 PM.
These items were adopted with unanimous support and no extended debate; more substantive hearings on the FY2026 budget and the TIRZ No. 6 amendment were handled separately.
