Planning Commission recommends approval for The Flats at Westminster at Lake Ridge (REZ2018‑000007)

Commissioner Sheikh (Occoquan District), who presided over the expedited hearing for that application, moved that the commission recommend approval of the rezoning with proffers dated May 12, 2025. The motion was seconded and taken by roll call; Chair McPhail, Vice Chair Brown, Commissioner Ross, Commissioner Moses Ned, Commissioner Sheikh and Commissioner Schiefler recorded affirmative votes and the motion carried.
No members of the public were recorded as speaking in opposition during the public hearing portion of the meeting.
Next steps: The Planning Commission’s recommendation will be transmitted to the Board of County Supervisors for final action as part of the board’s rezoning docket.
