Kingsgrove rezoning (REZ2025‑00004): Public comment included opposition focused on traffic and density from Connie Berhane and mixed committee input from local PELT representative Jack Kriemchen. Applicant counsel Jonelle Cameron explained the project’s housing mix and confirmed the 2‑over‑2 stacked units are fee‑simple for‑sale condominiums (239 total units: 202 stacked multifamily and 37 townhomes). Commissioner Sheikh moved to recommend approval with proffers (including fencing around stormwater management and commitments on pedestrian walkway connections); the motion carried.
Special Use Permit SUP2023‑00022 (Tariq Automotive): No members of the public spoke; Commissioner Ross moved to recommend approval subject to application conditions dated Sept. 15, 2025, and the commission voted to recommend approval.
Yarborough proffer amendment (REZ2024‑00022): Local PELT representative Jack Kriemchen provided background and the commission recommended approval of the proffer amendment as proffered on Aug. 5, 2025.
The commission’s actions on these items will be forwarded as recommendations to the Board of County Supervisors for final decisions.
