House previews schedule, flags 4:00 p.m. votes and plans to take up budget next week

Later in the floor remarks, the presiding officer reviewed near-term scheduling: chairs and appropriations leaders said area committees will report out on Thursday and members should expect amendment opportunities. "Next week, chair anticipates taking up the House version of the budget," the presiding officer said, adding that the House "anticipates voting that out of the House at some point next week" and that "probably Thursday would be the third reading of the budget."
Representative Bell moved that the House adjourn to reconvene Wednesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m., subject to Rule 15.1; Representative Jones seconded. The motion passed by voice vote and the House adjourned.
Members were reminded the Memorial Day break remains on the calendar and that no recorded votes were expected on Thursday or Friday of the current week; members were asked to watch email for any scheduling updates.
