House approves journal, reports enrolled resolution and adjourns to reconvene April 28

Representative Campbell told the chamber, "The journal for April 16 has been examined and found to be correct," and moved that it be approved as written. The Speaker called for the ayes, and with no opposition recorded, the journal was approved.
The enrolling clerk reported enrolled bills for April 17, 2025. As read aloud, the clerk stated, "Resolution 2,025 dash 3. House joint resolution 1,007. A joint resolution adjourning the 2025 general assembly to a date certain," and indicated the resolution had been duly ratified and prepared for presentation to the office of the secretary of state.
Later in the session Representative Campbell moved, pursuant to House Joint Resolution 1007, that the House "do now adjourn to reconvene Monday, April 28 at 12:00 noon, subject to the standard stipulation set forth in rule 15.1." The motion was seconded by Representative Penny as recorded by the Speaker. The Speaker put the question; the ayes were heard and the Speaker declared the House adjourned.
The session also included routine chamber business: an opening prayer by Representative Penny, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a brief recognition of pages and children from Northridge Elementary School in Raleigh. The House will reconvene on April 28 at noon under the terms stated in House Joint Resolution 1007.
