The council approved a conditional‑use permit allowing the Golden Hub to expand a neighborhood commercial property into a club and lodge use in a C‑1 district.
Stan Klein (applicant representative) described a planned kitchen expansion and added activity spaces and said the site plan met lot‑coverage and parking requirements; the project also supports Meals on Wheels deliveries. Planning & Zoning reviewed and approved the site plan and recommended the CUP.
Council opened and closed the public hearing with no substantive opposition. One council member abstained from the vote citing a familiarity with the applicant. The council voted to approve the CUP and the accompanying site plan approvals.
What’s next: The applicant will process building permits and follow standard administrative building‑permit plan reviews where staff will confirm ADA and other code compliance.
