Holly Springs — At its meeting, the Holly Springs City Council approved a package of routine items that included a rezoning request for a Holly Street parcel, adoption of the city's 2025 official zoning map, several public-works contracts, an agreement with Georgia Power, amendments to police policies, and calendar and personnel changes.
The council voted unanimously on a consent agenda and then took up new business. Nancy (staff) introduced MADash01Dash2025, in which applicants Dell and Kelly Creston sought rezoning of 0.66 acres on Holly Street (Tax Parcel 064 of Tax Plat 93N00) from R-20 (single-family residential) to GC (general commercial). Nancy said Planning Commission recommended approval on Jan. 9 and staff recommended approval with stipulations including a 20-foot buffer along the western property line while adjacent parcels remain residential, dark-sky-compliant lighting, and compliance with the Town Center District design guidelines.
