Staff also reported that the EDC 'A' board has pledged $1,115,000 and the 'B' board $625,000 toward the project. Board members asked whether the increased total cost reflected inflation and funding changes; staff clarified that Harris Street was the project for which the EDC had been covering a larger share previously, and that this drainage project had always been a partial funding item for the EDC boards.
The staff presenter said a pre-construction meeting had been held and that the project timeline information will be shared with the board; staff invited questions and noted they will bring the notice-to-proceed recommendation to council when ready.
