A committee member announced that the joint ways and means committee (House and Senate finance committees) will meet tomorrow at 3 p.m. in House Hearing Room 3 to consider authorizing the Department of Health to accept a $207,000,000 grant for the Rural Health Transportation Transformation program. Treasury and the department will present plans and goals for a five‑year, $1,000,000,000 federal grant program tied to rural health transportation.
Chairman Watson and staff also reminded members of committee deadlines for placing bills on notice and for filing amendments, and listed committee staff and analysts who support the panel’s work. Several calendar items were rolled at sponsor request during the hearing; no objections were recorded.
