Council approves development, zoning and administrative items in unanimous votes

- Election order: Council adopted an ordinance ordering the general election on May 2, 2026 for mayor (at large) and council places 2, 4 and 6, delegating joint election arrangements to the mayor or city administrator and designating early voting dates. Vote recorded as 5–0.
- Public works contract change order: Council authorized a change order of up to $25,000 for a roof replacement discovered during the remodel of the former fire station (original contract about $310,000) and approved delegated authority for future change orders up to 10% of the original contract amount. Vote recorded as 5–0.
- Pullen Road: Council approved abandonment of approximately 2,180 feet of Pullen Road right-of-way between FM 550 and Horizon Lakes Boulevard as part of the Horizon Lakes development's reconstructed alignment; staff and the project's engineer explained the relocation was previously contemplated in plats and agreements. Vote recorded as 5–0.
