Board members raised concerns about the mismatch between a calendar‑year contract and their fiscal year, the timing of prorating, and the lack of defined performance standards.
Directors asked for clearer scenarios showing best and worst case financial outcomes if agencies drop out and requested performance milestones or timelines from the lobbyist. One director said the coalitions work should show tangible results within six months. Staff agreed to bring a revised MOU with cost scenarios and additional detail to the December 11 meeting for a formal decision.
No binding financial commitment was approved at this meeting; the item remains for action at the December meeting.
