Lucas council hears detailed update on road-improvement program, budgets and project priorities

CIP Manager Patrick Hubbard gave the Lucas City Council an extended briefing on the city’s road-improvement program, summarizing last year’s work, the current-year plan and near-term priorities.
Hubbard said the city spent about $8,000 on a system assessment, roughly $100,000 on crack sealing and about $25,000 on concrete panel replacement, with repaving work in the Woodmore and Meadows subdivisions and parts of East Winnicoff Road. “Altogether, that was program expenditure of $1,079,797,” he said, and including culvert and drainage work the total came to $1,308,870.
