Cornish council seeks bids to repaint railroad crossings, reviews septic and water repairs

On the parking‑lot project, the Moderator said the septic tank is ordered and expected in about a week and a half; once installed, contractors will finish grading and pave the lot. The Moderator told the council Chris will be the council’s representative to the Founders Day Committee.
On water operations, the council reviewed billing options (including whether a third party should handle billing), noted two recent repairs (a coupler and a pinhole in a bell), and said chlorine was added; they are awaiting scheduled water-quality tests. No ordinance or contract award was approved at this meeting; council members directed staff to obtain bids and follow up with recommended contractors.
