At its regular meeting the Franklin County Board approved a set of routine items and procurement commitments.
ArcSearch digital archiving: The board approved a proposal to have ArcSearch (digital-archiving vendor) add 2025 minutes and images to the county's online records. Staff estimated a base fee and per-image rate and said total incremental cost would likely be under $400 beyond the base fee. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract.
CICS lease amendment: The board approved an amended lease with CICS to add one office (office number 9). The change reflects an updated room numbering and was approved by motion and voice vote.
Midland Concrete brick quote: Supervisors discussed a quote from Midland Concrete Products for brick for the courthouse tuck-pointing project, including shipping logistics from eastern suppliers; the board approved the quote and authorized procurement.
No Risk (North Iowa safety training) FY2026 agreement: The board approved participation in No Risk safety training for county road crews and other staff. Staff estimated roughly 30–33 employees would attend; the program includes an optional written safety-and-health policy at additional cost, which staff said the county may request.
Each of the above items was moved, seconded and approved by the board during the meeting. Staff will complete contract signings and coordinate implementation.
