Developer asks to postpone Prairie Point rezoning; public hearing continued to June 4

DARDENNE PRAIRIE, Mo. — The board opened a public hearing on the Prairie Point PD rezoning but agreed to continue the item to the next regular meeting after the developer requested more time to address Planning & Zoning comments.
Jeff Moon of Bakht Engineering told the board he had met with Planning & Zoning and wanted to review suggested site changes with the developer. "We would, like to look at those suggestions and try to come up with a better layout," Moon said, asking that the item be postponed to the June 4 meeting. The mayor entertained a motion to continue the hearing; the motion was moved by Alderman Wilson and seconded by Alderman Johnson and carried.
The continuation means that substantive public testimony on Prairie Point will be taken at the board's June 4 meeting, and staff and the petitioner are expected to bring revised plans in response to Planning & Zoning input.
