During public comment a resident asked the city to follow up with Ameren and Charter after utility work left debris and damaged turf along a corridor from the rehab center to Osman Elementary and Stonebridge Church. The resident said crews sometimes leave the old pole broken next to a newly installed one, chunks of gravel and ruts that make mowing and vehicle access difficult. The resident noted they and another resident (Amy) have ticket numbers with the utilities but wanted the city to ensure the repairs are completed before winter.
Other residents on the call confirmed Ameren is currently backlogged and that some pending meter or pole work might take additional weeks to finish. Board members asked staff to track the outstanding tickets and contact utility crews to help clear the right-of-way and restore turf where possible.
Next steps: staff to follow up with Ameren and Charter using the ticket numbers residents provided and report status back to the board at the next meeting.
