The Board of Aldermen voted to approve an amended planned-unit-development (PUD) final plan for the project commonly known as Dardenne Prairie Apartments.
City staff identified the item as an administrative amendment to an existing development that has been on the city’s books for more than a year; as such the board treated the measure as eligible for a second reading. The city attorney read Bill 2,533 by title as "an ordinance approving an amended PUD final plan for a certain development commonly known as the Darden Prairie Apartments."
Following a roll-call vote, the majority of aldermen voted "Aye" and one alderman voted "Nay." The city attorney referenced Ordinance 2368, indicating the ordinance adopting the amended PUD. A board member clarified that the project predates the moratorium discussion and therefore does not fall under the proposed temporary moratorium.
What’s next: With the ordinance recorded, the developer may proceed according to the approved amended PUD and applicable permits; staff will continue any required administrative follow-up and permitting.
