The city engineer told the board that Town Square Avenue is nearly finished, with about 95% of paving completed and final curb-and-gutter work remaining opposite the theater; crews will finish paving and apply striping after curbs are set.
Kathy, the city administrator, said staff has initiated the 2026 budget and a 2026–2028 capital-improvement plan. She said a draft budget and CIP will be provided to the board by mid-October, with a work session scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30 for staff to present line items and capital requests.
Board members were invited to submit budget line items or capital suggestions to the mayor and city administrator ahead of the work session. The board briefly discussed the likely evening timing for the Oct. 30 session.
