The Dardenne Prairie Board of Aldermen voted to adopt Ordinance 2376 on Sept. 3, authorizing an intergovernmental cooperation agreement with the City of O'Fallon to coordinate asphalt/path repairs and sealing on Fisey Road.
Mayor Witteeman declared the ordinance passed after a roll-call vote in which the board cast unanimous 'aye' votes. City Attorney read the bill title on the floor as an agreement that allows the two neighboring municipalities to combine work to gain efficiencies and save money.
The mayor explained the measure covers joint work where Dardenne Prairie and O'Fallon property lines adjoin and said the arrangement is intended to reduce costs by coordinating roadwork across the boundary.
The vote followed a second reading of Bill 25-39; no substantive debate was recorded during the meeting on the ordinance text.
