The Dardenne Prairie Board of Aldermen voted Oct. 15 to adopt an ordinance permitting the city administrator to negotiate and execute a maintenance deposit agreement and letter of credit guaranteeing maintenance of public improvements for the Dragonstone development. The ordinance implements the maintenance guarantee needed to sign the record plat so lots can be sold.
The attorney read Bill 25‑49 by title and staff explained the measure is administrative: approvals for the site and improvement plan were completed and the maintenance deposit allows the record plat to be signed. Board members discussed outstanding deficiencies the developer must correct before dedication but confirmed the maintenance guarantee permits the sale of lots.
A roll‑call vote was taken after a motion for final reading. The clerk recorded votes as follows: Alderman Getemeyer — Aye; Alderman Wilson — Aye; Alderman Detweiler — Nay; Alderman Johnson — Aye; Alderman Waters — Aye. The ordinance was adopted as Ordinance No. 2384.
City staff indicated the developer must remedy specified deficiencies before final dedication of improvements to the city.
