During the second-reading discussion, aldermen and members of the public said the applicant had added two feet to garages and proposed a fence that may require brush removal; neighbors also raised concerns about grade differences between lots that could affect sightlines and drainage. Planning staff said the change (two-foot garage expansion) had been presented during prior hearings and that the board could, but was not required to, refer the item back to the planning-and-zoning commission for additional review.
Alderman Johnson moved to postpone the item until a final plat is provided; Alderman Gettemeyer seconded the motion and the board agreed to carry the second reading to the next meeting. The board also agreed to postpone the second reading of Bill 25-55 because of its proximity to the Stillwater Grove matter.
