The Duchesne County Planning Commission voted to approve a conditional use permit for a proposed short-term rental by Kelly McDonald in the Blue Bell townsite, following a staff report that said the application was complete and consistent with the general plan.
Staff told the commission the applicant met submission and timing requirements and proposed a modest unit with access from County Road 4100 North. Conditions required before operation include obtaining a business license, securing a county road approach permit, constructing durable and dust-controlled driveways and parking, disposing of existing junk or solid waste on the property, obtaining Tri County Health approvals for water and wastewater if required, and collecting applicable transient-room taxes.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the permit on a voice vote; staff noted compliance will be verified prior to operation.
