Councilmember Amy moved that the council add the electrical conduit and food-truck pedestals from the Staker Parsons bid to the project. "I motion that we add the 2 additional items as bid by Staker Parsons to the Legacy Park phase 1, bringing the total for the Legacy Park phase 1 to 406,025," Amy said during the meeting. A second was made and the council approved the motion by voice vote.

City staff said existing grants and fundraising should cover most of the new costs, but the mayor directed staff to schedule a January budget hearing to reallocate line items and formalize the adjustments.
Details: At last month’s meeting the council accepted the base bid for the project; council discussion at this meeting clarified that the earlier base bid was roughly $372,780 and that adding the two listed items would bring the phase 1 contract to $406,025. The mayor asked staff (Marilyn and Jim) to set a budget hearing in January to move funds as needed.
Next steps: The council approved the change by voice vote and staff will bring formal budget adjustments to the January budget hearing for public comment and final action.
