Oakley — Councilors and residents reviewed a proposed donation of a bench to an American Legion memorial and asked staff to return with inscription options.
A resident described the existing small brick that reads 'Oakley City, proud of our veterans' and said the bench is large enough for a phrase and possible decorative work by the engraver Doug Saunders. The bench was described as approximately 2 feet by 4 feet. Council asked Doug (engraver) options be brought back and scheduled the item for review at the next meeting.
Council did not take final action but asked for three or four inscription options for consideration.
