An irrigation expansion project is progressing on 1100 West and will continue up 650 South; crews also reported pond floor pours on the south side with wall work to follow.
Officials said the Dixie Springs (Sand Hollow) well is close to a temporary startup but remains subject to final state approval. "We are ready to go... we're just waiting on the state to give us that final permission to start them up," a city water official said during the meeting.
The department is hiring to fill open positions and expects a staff retirement on Feb. 13. No specific construction costs or funding totals were disclosed in the open briefing.
Next steps: staff will continue construction progress, complete required construction tasks and coordinate with the state for Dixie Springs' temporary startup approval.
