Committee sets follow-ups on codifying rules, CivicPlus postings and a town hazmat day
Summary
Members asked staff to track codification of AAC rules with the town attorney, to post agendas on CivicPlus and to notify boaters about a Bay Oaks hazmat day (possible Feb. 4 or Feb. 24). A new minute-taker was announced.
Committee members asked for a status update on Anchorage Advisory Committee rules and regulations; Curtis said the document was forwarded to the town attorney and he will follow up. Curtis also said agendas and meeting packages will be available on CivicPlus going forward and that the town has hired a new minute-taker whose formatting may differ from past packets.
A member announced a town hazmat day at Bay Oaks (dates under discussion: Feb. 4 or Feb. 24) and asked staff to notify boaters about proper disposal of paint, expired pyrotechnics and other hazardous items; committee members suggested distribution through Docua and partner organizations such as the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the United States Power Squadron.
No formal policy votes were taken; staff will provide updated materials and scheduling information at the next meeting.
