The Wasatch County School Board on Monday elected Kim Dickerson as board president and Corey Holmes as vice president.
The board opened nominations for president; Dickerson was nominated and no further nominations were made. The board then held a visible (hand) vote and confirmed Dickerson as president.
For vice president, Corey Holmes was nominated and elected without further nominations. After the vote, Dickerson said she looked forward to working with the board and pledged that members’ voices would be heard. Holmes said he was "happy to serve" and emphasized teamwork while noting that board members sometimes disagree and that is acceptable.
Both leaders said they appreciated the superintendent’s support and the work of the full board as they begin their terms.
