YCH representatives noted recent capital investments, EV charging installations and expected grant awards to support neighborhood revitalization.
The board also adopted a resolution recognizing Dec. 3 as International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Community representatives from disability and mental-health organizations and county advisory committees described ongoing accessibility initiatives and urged a stronger county ADA coordinator, accessible materials for meetings and improved ASL access.
Finally, the board recognized December as HIV/AIDS Awareness Month; public-health staff and partners including Planned Parenthood and county infectious-disease staff highlighted local testing and PrEP availability, the county case counts, and ongoing prevention and care services in Yolo County.
