At the Nov. 13 meeting the Riverside County Airport Land Use Commission approved several procedural actions and announcements.
Motions and votes: the commission voted unanimously to continue a previously continued item (ZAP 16 21 MA '24) off calendar at the applicant’s request. The commission also voted unanimously to continue the Quality Management warehouse project (item 3.1, ZAP 1664 MA 25) to Dec. 15, 2025, pending Air Force comments. The minutes from Oct. 9, 2025 were approved; Commissioner Michael Geller recorded an abstention.
Administrative items and announcements: Paul Ruhl presented director’s approvals covering Sept. 16–Oct. 15, reporting one director-level consistency determination (ZAP 1101RG25 in the city of Hooper Valley). Staff announced Jackie Vega’s promotion to ALUC senior planner. During oral communications staff showed a video of a Nov. 4, 2025 UPS cargo plane crash to illustrate the safety rationale behind airport land-use compatibility work; presenters said the crash caused multiple on-the-ground fatalities and extensive property damage.
Next steps: staff will circulate Air Force comments when received and the Quality Management item is set for the commission’s Dec. 15, 2025 meeting. The December meeting date was confirmed as Monday, Dec. 15 at 9:30 a.m.
