During the Dec. 4 meeting the Holly Springs City Council approved several routine contracts and policy updates.
City Manager Mr. Logan and staff recommended awarding two contracts to Scrubs Softwash for installation, take-down and storage of holiday lights: a not-to-exceed $4,240 contract for the Train Depot, Hardin Pavilion and Hardin House (to be paid from the Main Street fund) and a $1,660 contract for Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Station No. 8; both were approved 4–0, contingent on required insurance documentation. Mr. Logan noted the vendor must provide insurance and a lift for installations due to roof materials.
Mr. Carter presented an annual HVAC preventative maintenance agreement with Air Pro Heating and Air LLC for $3,024 (lowest of three quotes) covering multiple city facilities; council approved the contract 4–0.
Ms. Norah presented renewal of Georgia Municipal Association/Interlocal Risk Management Agency PTSD coverage for first responders, citing transcribed reference to a statutory requirement ('house bill 451'); the fiscal impact was listed as $5,772 and council approved the renewal 4–0.
Ms. Lamasares presented a resolution to amend the parks master fee schedule, citing rising maintenance costs and recent facility improvements; the council approved the fee increases 4–0 following a parks and recreation committee recommendation.
