Holly Springs ratifies multiple vendor contracts for facility repairs and upgrades

At its July 7 meeting, the Holly Springs mayor and council approved several vendor quotes and ratifications for city facility repairs and replacements.
City staff presented three vendor items for immediate action: an electrical installation and repairs contract with Nesmith Electric (quote $5,200) for the David Cagle House; an HVAC replacement at the Public Safety Building (Green Heating and Cooling, $10,300) completed under exigent circumstances and ratified; and two new HVAC systems for the David Cagle House (Green Heating and Cooling, approximately $14,860) pending installation. Staff said Nesmith was the lowest of three quotes and that some work had already been completed to ready the spaces.
Separately, Fire Systems Inc. submitted proposal 200017927 for repairs to the Public Safety Building’s fire suppression system in an amount not to exceed $3,829.22 to return the system to a certified (green-tag) status after a dry-to-wet configuration adjustment. Staff recommended approval and the council approved each item on unanimous 5–0 votes.
Council recorded motions and votes to ratify the city manager’s signature where applicable and directed staff to proceed with installation and procurement steps.
