Heath EDC moves to closed executive session on real property; recognizes departing members

Near the end of its July 15 meeting the Heath Economic Development Corporation announced it would move into closed executive session under the Texas Government Code to discuss real-property matters and business incentives.
The presiding officer stated the session would be held “pursuant to sections 5 5 1, dot 0 7 2 and 5 5 1 dot 0 8 7 of the Texas Government Code to deliberate regarding purchase exchange, lease, or value of real property and commercial or financial information the city has received from a business prospect and to deliberate the offer of a financial, other incentive to a business prospect.” The board convened for the executive session and later reconvened into open session at 06:24; the presiding officer said no action was taken when the meeting resumed.
Earlier in the meeting the board also made remarks recognizing two members who are phasing out of service. Vice President Mike Zelinskas and others thanked Justin and Cynthia for their years of volunteer service to the EDC and MBC and for their contributions to local projects.
The meeting then adjourned.
