Board sets Aug. 5 hearings for Blue Earth County Ditch 56 and Ditch 79 contract acceptance

County drainage staff (Craig) told the board two contract acceptance hearings should be scheduled: one for Blue Earth County Ditch 56, described as located in Lincoln and Garden City Townships and established on 12/19/2023 with work performed by Sully Excavating Inc.; and one for Blue Earth County Ditch 79, described as a roughly 480‑acre watershed in Judson Township with a petition received on 09/19/2022. Craig asked the Drainage Authority to set contract acceptance hearings for both projects; the board moved, seconded and approved scheduling both hearings for 08/05/2025 at 9 a.m. in the Blue Earth County commissioners' room on the 2nd floor of the historic courthouse building.
Both motions were carried by voice vote recorded in the minutes. Staff indicated that the engineer's acceptance reports had been received and that contractual work was complete for each petition improvement.
