The Santaquin City Planning Commission on Jan. 27 voted unanimously to forward a recommendation to the City Council to adopt a code amendment that aligns temporary business-license durations across related code sections.
Staff explained the amendment would change chapter 3.28.010 to reference the table in the zoning code so both sections use the same durations; most listed temporary uses carry a 150-day allowance and uses not specifically listed would default to 120 days. Staff described the change as a technical alignment to reduce confusion between sections.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing. Commissioner Nixon moved to recommend approval; Commissioner Mook seconded. Roll-call votes recorded unanimous "Yes" and the commission forwarded a positive recommendation to the City Council.
Staff will include the amendment in the ordinance packet for Council consideration.
