The council also considered and moved to adopt Resolution 2025‑8 and an associated Memorandum of Understanding to participate in the America250 program. Under the agreement the city would receive $1,500 to support America250 promotional activities during the city's Independence Day celebration, and the MOU requires use of the program logo on printed materials and posting event photos online. A motion to adopt the resolution was made and seconded during the meeting.
What happens next: staff will implement the requirements of the America250 MOU if the resolution is finalized administratively and will proceed with permitting and project oversight for the Pioneer Lane conditional use as part of normal building‑permit and inspection processes.
