Davis County rolls out suicide postvention plan and expands Davis Links resource network

County health staff presented two coordinated initiatives intended to improve community response and resource access: a Davis County suicide postvention plan and the Davis Links resource network.
Aiza from the Health Strategy Bureau said the postvention plan "fills a gap that's existed for a long time" by establishing a core response team and a broader work group to support communities and families after suicide deaths. The plan includes outreach materials and a QR‑linked grief and loss webpage to centralize resources for families and community members.
Staff also described Davis Links, the county’s resource‑directory brand powered by the FindHelp platform. Over the past five months the county built a provider portal, enrolled more than 120 provider accounts and identified about 1,400 community programs they intend to include on the public site (davislinks.org). Staff said the county will continue provider engagement and plans a public launch in the fall, coordinated with community resource fairs.
Board members praised the work and suggested product ideas such as one‑page toolkits for parents and screen‑time guidance for young children. Staff said Davis Links will host the materials and the communications team will support public launches and translations.
