The Genola Planning Commission approved a site plan on Sept. 4 for an accessory building proposed by Tracy and Joe Montez at approximately 1043 Anna Akins Lane in the Eakin Subdivision (Plot C, Lot 24).
Staff walked the commission through a checklist that confirmed the site plan includes a north arrow and scale, existing and proposed utilities, required setback measurements and distances from nearby structures. Commissioners clarified the setback closest to the building is shown as 11 feet and asked staff to verify the firewall clearance requirements; the applicants and staff addressed those items during the review.
A commissioner moved to approve the accessory building site plan; the motion was seconded and approved on a voice vote. The approval allows the project to proceed to building permit review and subsequent inspections required by town or county code as applicable.
Next steps: applicants should submit any outstanding plan clarifications requested by staff and obtain building permits as required.
