Bedford County registrar reminds voters of Nov. 5 election date, hours and ID rules

Gunter said voters who do not know their polling place can use a searchable map at bedfordcountyva.gov/votingmap, which also includes sample ballots tied to addresses. "If you don't know where you vote, we have a searchable map to help you out," she said.
The registrar said polls will be open on election day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and emphasized that voters do not need to bring their voter registration card to the polls. "You do not need to bring your voter registration card to the polls, but you will need 1 acceptable form of ID, such as a driver's license or DMV issued ID card," Gunter said.
Gunter outlined options for voters without ID: they may sign an ID confirmation statement or cast a provisional ballot. She added that voters who cast provisional ballots must submit a copy of a valid ID by noon on Friday, Nov. 8.
For voters who prefer to vote early in person, Gunter said early voting is available at the Bedford County Gym through Saturday, Nov. 2, with hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
