SPRINGDALE, Nov. 20, 2024 — The Springdale Planning Commission unanimously approved a revision to the Driftwood Lodge design development review that relocates a proposed 10-unit lodging building away from a wash to reduce potential flood risk and changes the structure from a terraced, multi-level building to a single-level design.
The approval came during a public hearing and deliberation at the Canyon Community Center. Kendra Kendall, the staff contact for the item, said the applicant wants to move the building “further away from the anticipated flood hazard zone” in light of forthcoming updates to FEMA’s flood hazard maps.
