Springdale Planning Commission recommends leadership picks for 2025; council to ratify

At its Jan. 2 special meeting, the Springdale Planning Commission recommended leadership appointments for 2025 and will forward the selections to the town council for ratification.
Commissioners nominated Tom Kinston for the chair role and held votes on leadership positions. Commissioners recorded unanimous support for the motions the commission passed at the meeting. Staff clarified that the council will consider and ratify the commission’s recommendations at the council’s next meeting.
Commissioners thanked outgoing leadership and discussed that Paul Zimmerman may be considered for future leadership roles in 2026, while Terry Kruschke expressed willingness to serve as vice chair. The selections are advisory to the council and will not become final until the council’s ratification.
Next step: the planning commission’s slate will be placed on the town council agenda for ratification at its next regular meeting.
