- Staff confirmed that building permits will not be issued for developments until required lot splits or combinations are recorded and finalized with legal review. The board discussed using official letters to document lapsed approvals so records are clear when applications expire.
- For SP 24-07 (33420 Uniform Road duplex condominiums), staff said the applicant has put the property up for sale and the current approval is approaching expiration; if the approval lapses, a new applicant would have to restart the review process.
- The board reviewed a Malin street site plan built on an existing foundation; the planning commission recommended approval with engineering comments added as stipulations, and staff suggested adding language to motions that approvals are subject to compliance with all building- and fire-department regulations.
Board members asked several process questions about lot splits and recording; planning staff acknowledged the need for clear records and recommended procedural updates to track lapsed reviews.
